Subject: New SCIGN/CICESE site: San Pedro Martir

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce a new GPS station at Sierra San Pedro Martir
National Park, Baja California Norte, Mexico. The site is located
at the astronomical observatory in the park. The four-character ID
for the site is SPMX, and the site began operating on 14-OCT-1998.

An Ashtech Z-12 receiver running firmware version CB00 and an Ashtech
antenna with Dorne Margolin-type choke ring are present on site.

The site is part of a cooperative project between CICESE (Centro
de Investigacion Cientifica y de Educacion Superior de Ensenada)
and SCIGN.

The site log is available via ftp from:

ftp://lox.ucsd.edu/pub/docs/site_logs/spmx.log

and from the web at:

http://lox.ucsd.edu

Thank you,
Paul
