Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-15; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-igsstation Precedence: bulk ****************************************************************************** IGS Station Mail 17 Jun 06:00:15 PDT 2005 Message Number 511 ****************************************************************************** Author: Pierre Uhrich (Observatoire de Paris) Dear Colleagues, Observatoire de Paris (France) sufferred an electrical power failure shortly after 00:00 UTC on DOY 167 (MJD 53537, June 16). One of the unexpected consequences was the failure of both H-Masers of the laboratory, hence the one connected to our IGS station OPMT. This resulted in a loss of frequency reference for the Ashtech Z12-T receiver during a few hours. Moreover, the H-Maser restart in the morning of DOY 167 means a period of time which can reach a few days before the frequency of the H-Maser stabilizes again. For many different reasons, it was decided not to change the H-Maser source of the OPMT receiver yet. We will await the choice made by our Colleagues in charge of the Primary Frequency Standards among the H-Masers currently available to plan a change if necessary. This message is intended to warn potential users that the RINEX file for DOY 167, which was computed automatically and released this morning (June 17), is corrupted. Please feel free to forward this message to any Colleague you might feel interested. Best regards. P. Uhrich. -- =============================================================== Dr Pierre Uhrich Pierre.Uhrich@obspm.fr Ingenieur LNE Equipe Metrologie du temps LNE-OP/SYRTE, Phone: + 33 (0)1 40 51 22 17 UMR CNRS 8630, Fax: + 33 (0)1 43 25 55 42 Observatoire de Paris, 61 avenue de l'Observatoire, F-75014 Paris, France. ===============================================================
