We suspected that the trouble was caused by a fault in the GPS antenna and the GPS receiver due to a typhoon, then we requested the manufacture (NOVATEL) to investigate a possible fault. At the result, it became clear that there are no abnormalities in operation of GPS receiver itself. We investigated the cause in detail and found that water leaked in the coaxial portion of the antenna due to heavy rain and strong winds from a typhoon, and caused a short circuit. The cause of abnormality is a construction error (poor caulking of cables). Now, the receiver is operating normally and has resumed transmitting data to the CDDIS from 25th January. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
