It is still our intention to decommission JAB1 in order to make way for a new airport extension. JAB1 will be replaced by a new monument located approximately 200m away, and should be operation by the end of this week. From the end of this week JAB1 will no longer be submitting data to the IGS on an hourly/daily basis. We are intending to collect an additional 30 days of data from JAB1, so that there will be some overlap in time series between the two monuments. We will make this overlapping data set from JAB1 and JAB2 available to the public when we have retrieved all of the equipment from JAB1 in about six weeks time. A local terrestrial survey will also be conducted this week to connect the two monuments, as well as make the initial RM survey for JAB2. We will publish the results from this survey in the site log after the final adjustment has been completed. We will make data available from JAB2 on the Geoscience Australia FTP site as soon as it becomes available. We will also begin the process of applying for JAB2 to become part of the IGS network, as a replacement of JAB1. If you would like to start receiving data directly from GA for JAB2 please contact us.
