Beginning with Day 162 ALRT data submissions will be delayed about a week. The local telephone switch in Alert, over which we off-load GPS and tide gauge data to the local computer, failed yesterday. To make matters worse, the one of the microwave repeaters in the communication link to Eureka also failed. We're told it will take about a week to make these repairs. I will advise when data submissions resume. We do not expect any data loss. -- Mike Craymer, Ph.D. Geodetic Survey Division, Natural Resources Canada 615 Booth Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0E9, Canada Tel 613-947-1829, Fax 613-992-6628, Cell 613-791-0157 Email Geodetic Survey Division NAREF
