This session concerns "Results of the Reprocessing of Space Geodetic Observations": The Analysis Centers of the International GNSS Service (IGS) are reanalyzing the history of global network GPS data collected since 1994 in a consistent way using the latest models and methodology. This is the first reprocessing by the IGS, though some individual groups have already undertaken such programs. It is expected that reprocessings will be repeated in the future as further analysis and reference frame changes occur. All eight final product Analysis Centers of the IGS are participating, together with three other related groups. Some preliminary results of this effort have already been submitted for inclusion in the ITRF2008 multi-technique combination. Complete and combined results from the IGS campaign should be available by the end of 2009. This session examines the results of this reprocessing effort and considers future directions and improvements. Other non-IGS groups involved in similar reanalysis activities are also encouraged to contribute their results. Results from reanalysis of VLBI, SLR and DORIS data are likewise welcome.
