The main goal of this Workshop is to provide the current state-of-the-art for EOP prediction in terms of data sets and algorithms as well as to discuss recommended actions for improving EOP prediction, including improving the IERS rapid combined series. Scientific Organizing Committee: Bill Wooden (co-chair), Wieslaw Kosek (co-chair), Orhan Akyilmaz, Aleksander Brzezinski, Tonie van Dam, Daniel Gambis, Richard Gross, Brian Luzum, Zinovy Malkin, Jim Ray, and Harald Schuh The preliminary scientific program consists of the following sessions: SESSION 1: Earth Orientation Parameters: a-priori models, observations, and combined solutions 1.1 Space Geodetic EOP Observations 1.2 EOP Tide Models 1.3 EOP Combinations SESSION 2: Geophysical excitation functions and their prediction SESSION 3: EOP prediction techniques and algorithms The Workshop also includes "Discussion and Recommendations for the Future". Detailed information about the Workshop is available at the website: http://www.cbk.waw.pl/EOPPW2009/ The deadline for abstract submission is July 31st. This workshop is organized by the IERS Working Group on Prediction. Contact: Wieslaw Kosek Space Research Centre, PAS ul.
