All are contributing hourly data and are managed by GNS Science. There is a tide gauge within 5-10km of each site. DUND in Dunedin, and MQZG in McQueens Valley near Christchurch, are moving at close to the Pacific plate velocity and are unlikely to be affected by aseismic deformation. There is a chance they will occasionally be affected by coseismic deformation from earthquakes in the Australia-Pacific plate boundary zone. NIUM, on Niue in the Pacific Ocean, will add some redundancy in the area. It is a co-location with the Niue Meteorological Service, though met data are not being routinely acquired at present. WGTN in Wellington is a co-location with the NZ Met Service. The maps and lists at the CB are being refreshed with these new sites, and full information will start to appear over the next few days.
