The pilot project will begin in late October of this year and is expected to last for a period of up to three years. Preparing the move towards real-time GNSS data and derived products has been a strategic objective of the IGS for several years and this is being reaffirmed in the IGS Strategic Plan for the years 2008-2012. The IGS Real-time Pilot Project is the next step towards meeting this strategic objective. Further information about the pilot project including a PDF copy of the Call For Participation document can be viewed and downloaded at www.rtigs.net/pilot We look forward to the start of the project and to strong support of this initiative. Sincerely Mark Caissy Chair IGS Real-time Working Group caissy@nrcan.gc.ca
