The bug may be harmful if the source codes are compiled with 16-bit compilers, or correctly speaking, if the the range of 'int' valiables are within [-999999 999999]. The binaries included in the packages are harmless since they were compiled with 32-bit compilers. All the package files in the GSI's FTP server was replaced with bug fixed ones with updating the version of software from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2: ftp://terras.gsi.go.jp/software/RNXCMP_4.0.2/ I recommend those who already downloaded the packages of version 4.0.1 (the source-code package, especially) to update them.
