At Fall AGU 2006, the working group is going to meet to work out the details of this effort and push through a quick warm-up run, hopefully followed by a full scale operation (see our internal message below). Peng ========================================= Dear Reanalysis group members, In the light of successful official switch to new ITRF2005 with a series of significant modeling improvements, such as absolute antenna phase center model, DCB offset correction, C1P1 correlation handling, center of mass consistency treatment in tidal loading, new mapping function, and complying with IERS 2003/4 conversion etc, we are finally in a very good position to carry out our community highly hoped and long waited reanalysis. The IGSCB asked me to provide an update at the IGS meeting at AGU. Gerd, Nacho, and I would like to push a quick warm-up trial of reanalysis using a three month data early 2007. We wonder if you could let us know, at your earliest convenience: 1. if your AC is NOT ready for the reanalysis trial effort (no reply before Dec 11 (IGS meeting on Dec 12) implies you have no problem) 2. if any issues/comments you would like to raise/make. At the IGS/AGU, we are hoping to get the following things settled: 1. processing site lists from individual centers 2. processing strategy sheet (ACN) 3. submitting/resubmitting/reporting mechanism 4. starting date of the effort and completion time frame. Of course, we would like, if time permits, to discuss the 'science' out of the effort, even just pullet points, in addition to all related practical issues. Gerd, Nacho, Peng
