This will be a time to catch up with old friends and honor the people who have had very positive influence on the IGS over the past many years. This is an open and informal reception, so please attend, including IGS associate and correspondent members, IGS user community, and colleagues of other IAG services. Welcome! Bob Serafin and Chris Reigber are both completing many years on the Governing Board this year and we especially want to recognize them. Others members will be recognized for their significant service as well - stay tuned. A microphone/podium is in the room for toasting (or roasting), so bring your toasts, jokes & even colorful stories. This reception follows the 27th meeting of the Governing Board, and so a welcome from the Chair, John Dow is in order to announce the results of this years election and appointments to the Board. As the IGS has no central funding, there will be a fee at the door to partially cover the cost of appetizers (~$10) and it is a cash bar, but reasonable and good selection.
