The U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) in Washington, DC is seeking an individual with experience in satellite geodesy and/or orbital mechanics to manage the Global Positioning System (GPS) Analysis program in the Earth Orientation Department. The incumbent is responsible for the daily determination of Earth Orientation parameters using state-of-the-art methods in software analysis. The software employed processes GPS observations to determine the values of UT1 and the positions of the Earth's pole. Experience executing GYPSY/OASIS or Bernese software is highly desirable.
