Due to increasingly reduced data quality from GALA over the last months, we have decided to abandon the station and move all operations to GLPS. The new GLPS monument (short, drill-braced, with SCIGN mount and SCIGN dome) installed by UNAVCO in March 2002, is located about 100 feet due south of the old GALA monument. Survey tie data (GLPS) can be obtained from the UNAVCO archive at http://archive.unavco.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/dmg/raws_by?gid=2359&ds=1&oby=start_t ime Data is available Mar 08 - May 21, 2002. GALA data for this time period is available from the CDDIS. A NEW sitelog has been submitted to the IGS. New GLPS data is available from the CDDIS starting doy 2003.007. We would also like to acknowledge the kind cooperation and assistance from our colleagues at the Charles Darwin Station. Best regards, -Oivind Ruud
