This leak has required that we reboot the server every couple of days....for the past 3-4 weeks. We have tried several countermeasures, kernel upgrades, etc, but to no avail. We are thus forced to reinstall a new operating system and reconfigure our ftp services. This is commencing immediately, and will result in several hours of downtime (no ftp or http access to SOPAC), beginning ASAP. We apologize for this inconvenience, and for the extremely short notice (or lack thereof). Hopefully it will result in a much more stable SOPAC archive in the months ahead. Thanks very much for your patience and understanding. Best Regards, Michael Scharber SOPAC Archive Team ps. We will send notification when ftp services are reinstated. -- ******************************************************* Michael Scharber Scripps Institution of Oceanography Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics 8785 Biological Grade IGPP Room 4212 La Jolla, CA 92037 mscharber@josh.ucsd.edu (858)534-1750 *******************************************************
