This task constitutes part of the product sector "Geodetic Reference Systems" and comes under the section G2 "National Reference Systems - Position" of the Geodesy Department of BKG. The applicant's field of duties will comprise the following components: - Setup and operation of DGPS services via the Internet - Real-time processing and and analysis of GPS data - Networking of GPS reference stations - Monitoring of GPS reference stations through post-processing These are our expectations we have for the candidate: - Successful completion of university studies, graduation in the branch of study 'Geodesy' - Knowledge in the evaluation of GPS permanent networks - Programming knowledge and command of the operating systems Windows and Unix - Experienced in scientific working Further, this post requires knowledge of foreign languages, English above all, and the ability and willingness to cooperate as part of a team. This employment includes support concerning possibilities to start or continue studying for a doctorate in the research field of geodetic real-time evaluation of GPS observations.
