We are well aware that the today success would not have been possible without the non-stop care, frequently stretching far into evenings and week-ends, of many individuals. Personally, I believe that this coming together of so much expertise, good will and enthusiasm is quite some piece of luck and I am grateful to you all and grateful for this luck! At this milestone, when we are just beginning to harvest the most promising scientific fruits of the mission, let me just say THANK YOU! Please convey this message to your colleagues which we might have forgotten in the haste to address personally. Wishing you all continual enthusiasm, energy, brilliant ideas and luck and the CHAMP satellite a long & healthy life, With my best regards, Christoph Reigber CHAMP Project Director P.S.: For CHAMP’s 1st anniversary in orbit see also the CHAMP Newsletter No. 5 to be launched next Monday (http://op.gfz-potsdam.de/champ/more/newsletter_CHAMP_005.html) -- Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing.
