Subject: GPS Permanent Tracking Station
         Lhasa/Tibet/China
 
Our colleagues Klaus Roettcher and 
Guenther Herold, at present in Lhasa,
made the Upgrading of the GPS Permanent
Tracking System in Lhasa/Tibet/China.

Since 22-Sep-1996 the TurboRogue SNR 8000
operate with Software Version 3.2.
(prior 22-Sep-1996: Version 3.0
 after 22-Sep-1996: Version 3.2).

The Inmarsat-System arrived damaged after
the air-freight-transportation. Spare parts
already on the way to Lhasa. As soon as these
parts will arrive and Inmarsat-System is
operational, we shall continue the daily data-
transmission from Lhasa.
