We are also modifying the main directory structure of our archive. The new server, cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov, is now available for anonymous ftp access to review this structure. All data and products are under directories by datatype; some examples: /gps/data/daily 30-second GPS daily files by year and DOY /highrate 1-second GPS 15-minute files by year and DOY /hourly 30-second hourly data by year and DOY /satellite GPS data from on-board receivers by satellite, year and DOY /products (unchanged from cddisa) /doris (unchanged from cddisa) /slr/data/npt on-site normal point data by satellite, year and DOY /fr full-rate data by satellite, year and DOY /products /vlbi (unchanged from cddisa) The structure not only simplifies our archive but organizes the data in a more logical format. We have conducted tests with selected data suppliers; once we have tested our software we will be contacting the rest of our suppliers about the transition to our new system. Once our new system is operational, we will be offering a transition period where both cddis and cddisa will be maintained, thus allowing users to transition their s/w to our new archive structure. At this time I would like your opinion on the new structure. Please send me any comments you have on this new structure. Thanks and best regards, Carey. +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Ms. Carey Noll Manager, Crustal Dynamics Data Information System (CDDIS) Secretary, ILRS Central Bureau Code 922 E-mail: Carey.Noll@nasa.gov NASA GSFC Voice: (301) 614-6542 Greenbelt, MD 20771 Fax: (301) 614-6099 USA WWW: http://cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov/cddis_welcome.html +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+
